I. Issuance of certified true copies of any document on file with the office of the lawyer ₱500.00
II. Notarization of already prepared Affidavits and similar documents
*If with drafting: ₱500.00		 ₱300.00
III. Acknowledgement for already prepared legal instruments, quitclaims (except items below) ₱2,000.00
IV. Preparation and/or notarization of documents involving real or personal property — Deed of Sale, Donation, Mortgage (REM, Chattel, Pledge), Transfer or Relinquishment, Long Term Lease, or similar Deeds of Conveyance
Note: For conveyances of real property including donations, basis for fees should at least be the BIR zonal value or FMV in the tax declaration, whichever is higher.		 ½ of 1% of the value of the property/ies, not below ₱2,000.00
V. Preparation and/or Notarization of Extra Judicial Settlement of Estate or Partition of property, and Last Will and Testament ½ of 1% of the value of the property/ies, not below ₱2,000.00
VI. Preparation and/or Notarization of Powers of Attorney ₱1,000.00
VII. Preparation of a legal opinion / written advice ₱5,000.00
VIII. Preparation of Demand Letters, Letters Request, Responses and other Formal Communications for clients ₱1,000.00
IX. Preparation and acknowledgement of ordinary contracts, memorandum of agreements, short-term lease, contract to sell ₱5,000.00

Acceptance fees for court representation — civil, criminal, labor, and administrative cases — are assessed based on the nature of the case, court level, and estimated workload. Disclosed at initial consultation.

Appearance Fees

Per-hearing appearance fees apply for all court and quasi-judicial proceedings. Rates depend on the court or body, hearing location, and nature of the case. Disclosed upon formal engagement.

Legal & Regulatory Basis

CPRA 2023 + IBP By-Laws
CPRA — A.M. No. 22-09-01-SC (April 11, 2023)
Canon III, Sec. 41: "A lawyer shall charge only fair and reasonable fees." Replaced the old Code of Professional Responsibility. Governs all fee-setting effective 2023.
OCA Circular No. 335-2022
Mandated 10% increases in court filing/docket fees effective July 1, 2023, and another 10% effective July 1, 2024.
IBP By-Laws, Secs. 14–15
Authorizes each IBP Chapter to adopt and enforce its own minimum fee schedule. Members who refuse to observe without justifiable reason may face disciplinary action.
A.M. No. 02-11-10-SC (March 15, 2003)
Rule on Declaration of Absolute Nullity of Void Marriages and Annulment of Voidable Marriages. Governs procedure and filing in Family Courts.
Rule 141, Rules of Court (as amended)
Filing / docket fees, sheriff's fees, mediation fund, Legal Research Fund (LRF) and Judiciary Development Fund (JDF) surcharges in all court actions.
2004 Rules on Notarial Practice — A.M. No. 02-8-13-SC
Guidelines on notarial fees. Prohibit fixed fee schedules but mandate reasonableness. Amended by A.M. No. 18-12-07-SC (2019) requiring fee transparency.
A.M. No. 21-09-08-SC — E-Notary Rules
Governs electronic notarization. Allows digital certification with additional e-notary fees (approx. ₱500 add-on).
TRAIN Law — R.A. No. 10963
12% VAT applies to legal services when the lawyer's or law firm's gross annual receipts exceed the VAT threshold (₱3,000,000).
